Abstract

The phenomenon of deflection that occurs in concrete structural elements can be categorized into two types of deflection, namely momentary deflection and long-term deflection. Momentary deflection is an elastic deflection due to load which can be calculated by calculation of engineering mechanics, where deflection that occurs is linear with increasing load. From observations in the field there is often a change in the location of reinforcement due to work irregularities, so that the location of reinforcement changes from the initial design. This change caused a change in the thickness of the blanket which caused deflection which initially had fulfilled the permit might not meet.
